Youth Transition
What is Transition?
Secondary transition refers to the process a student with a disability goes through as they move from high school to whatever comes next, including postsecondary education, employment and independent living. In Florida, planning for secondary transition may begin as early as age 12.
At age 14, students may begin working with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation for Youth Services. Please review their website for more information on VR’s programs and how to get connected.
